Description
Motivation and application domain
In this project, the candidate will investigate the functional and dynamical properties of the cortical-hippocampal system during its development from 11 to 25 days in vitro (DIV) by means of a novel polymeric device coupled to Micro-Electrode Arrays (MEAs) to realize interconnected regions of dissociated cortical and hippocampal neurons.
General objectives and main activities
Development of ad hoc algorithms to investigate the functional and dynamical properties of the cortical-hippocampal system during its development from 11 to 25 days in vitro (DIV).
Bursting propagation and functional connectivity estimation are the topics will be explored during this computational work
