Motivation and application domain
Little is known about the kind of connections between cortical and hippocampal neurons developed ex vivo both in 2D and in 3D. In this work, the computational model should provide hints to understand in vitro experimental findings.
General objectives and main activities
1. Develop ex novo or adapt from the literature 3D large-scale cortical and hippocampal models.
2. Modeling the cortical-hippocampal connectivity following the results coming from experimental recordings
